Chronos has supplied BT with telecom synchronisation system and equipment which will be deployed in core and metro nodes of BT’s revolutionary 21st Century Network (21CN).

Chronos is supplying the SSU-2000 unit from Microsemi, Inc, which is designed for telecom network operators to generate and distribute superior timing signals for advanced network services. It meets the latest and evolving industry standards, including ITU, ANSI and Telcordia, and meets with all of BT’s requirements.

BT’s 21CN is a global IP infrastructure that carries voice, data and Internet services on a single network which will enable BT customers to access any communications service from any device, anywhere, at broadband speed. The 21CN will deliver more choice, control and accessibility, as well as increased flexibility, reliability and security for BT’s business and residential customers.
