The Symmetricom® SyncPoint™ PCIe-1000 provides ultra-high availability time with sub-microsecond accurate time stamps for programs running in Linux. The IEEE 1588 based SyncPoint™ PCIe-1000 has been optimized to be resilient to network related time errors and provides nanosecond caliber time as needed to a Linux program in under a microsecond. Time is acquired from a PTP grandmaster clock over an Ethernet network.

Often bus standards evolve faster than customer applications and related hardware so it is critical to support our customers as long as possible. In the Legacy PCI cards section are PCI cards that are well established in the market but not recommended for new design starts. You may recognize some of these cards from back in the days of Datum and TrueTime prior to acquisition by Symmetricom.

Symmetricom PMC cards are the ideal, compact solution to precisely synchronize the time on VME cards or provide accurate GPS synchronized time to the host motherboard. The bc635PMC cards are IRIG referenced and the bc637PMC cards are GPS referenced. Both can provide a variety of very accurate time and frequency functions to the host applications.

Symmetricom’s bc635/637 CompactPCI receiver modules provide a precision time and frequency reference for the 3U CPCI chassis and PXI chassis. Time is acquired from either the GPS satellites using a supplied antenna/receiver (bc637CPCI only) or from time code signals, typically IRIG B. CompactPCI uses industry standard mechanical components and high-performance connector technologies to provide a system that is optimized for rugged applications.
