PRESS RELEASE
Lydbrook, Gloucestershire, 10 July 2009 – Chronos Technology announces its CTL3500 Interference Monitor, a low cost, hand held, battery operated device designed to detect the presence of too much GPS power or non GPS signals and interference broadcasting on the L1 channel which is the signal used by all SatNav devices.
The CTL3500 uses low noise signal amplification with precision SAW filters and logarithmic detection. The filtering and detection techniques check for unwanted signals within the centre of the GPS L1 band no matter what the waveform or modulation scheme may be and indicates the level on the 5 LEDs and cadenced vibrator.
Ideal for operations and support engineers to check GPS antenna installations, the CTL3500 can also check roof-top installations for interference from other sources and adjacent GPS antennas and check that the GPS signal is being accidentally rebroadcasted from a poorly made or corroded cable, connector or antenna assembly.
Chronos Technology Limited supplies GNSS components and accessories for GPS, Galileo & GLONASS applications used in location, positioning, navigation and communications industries and for military applications. Chronos is also a specialist provider and system integrator of technical solutions for synchronisation, time of day and remote monitoring applications.
