The Chronos OEM Solution
We deploy massive processing power at the remote location utilising a low cost Linux based processing engine which minimises the data transferred to the management server. Our intelligent management server allows the user to log in from anywhere in the world via the internet to view data both in graphical and tabular format. A "Heartbeat" feature ensures operational confidence and spontaneous alarm alerting via SMS and email ensures that the responsible person can get on with other activity rather than sit watching a screen all day.
Generically we refer to this concept as Internet Information Delivery - I2D.

Our Vision
Our vision is to be able to offer simple fit-and-forget monitoring that is available 24 hours a day and harnessing the ubiquitous nature of the internet, with VPN access from a browser anywhere in the world and SMS alerts to your mobile.
The first realisation of this project has been SyncWatch (visit www.syncwatch.com) aimed at remote synchronisation monitoring at the edge of a telecommunications network. This is now used by telecom operators to regularly check the quality of synchronisation within their networks and continuously defend service level agreements for leased line availability.
We are working with a number of supplier partners to deliver different solutions which address individual needs of the many and varied applications requiring to be monitored and the differing backhaul technologies available.
So whether you use GSM/GPRS, WiFi, 3G, an in-house DCN or good old fashioned PSTN we will have a backhaul communications solution to satisfy your requirements.
Our software design engineers are working on embedded and web based solutions involving IP, SNMP, Linux, C++, SQL, PHP, ASP, HTML etc.
Chronos has invested considerable research and development effort into remote internet testing. Whilst this is currently commercialised as the SyncWatch product, the concept behind the process can be seen in this technology presentation given at the UK Time & Frequency User Club held at the National Physical Laboratory in April 2005.
