TimeProvider GPS Antenna Fibre Optic Link
Do you have a need to use PRC quality, GNSS based timing references within an electrically isolated environment? Getting the GNSS antenna signal into the isolated area would have been impossible, but this novel solution from Chronos delivers the timing reference over optical fibre.
Using an electrical-optical-electrical conversion the interface between the GPS TimeProvider Interface Unit (TPIU) and the TimeProvider can be taken over optical fibre with no degradation of timing performance. This high reliability connection can transmit the timing signals over fibres up to 20km in length.
