As all UK networks roll out their initial 5G coverage, what does that mean for customers? What do customers want from 5G? Perhaps more importantly what does that mean for their networks? What does 5G mean to them? Does a drive for LTE-A delivery as a staging post count as 5G strategy?

Speaker Announcement

Chronos is pleased to announce that Joe Neil, Network Architect with Microchip, Inc. will deliver: The eRAN (“elastic” gNodeB) and the Implications for 5GNR Sync Architectures. "5G will enable a combination of network services that together will introduce a new level of flexibility in network architectures. Current models built on single operator owned and operated  DRAN/CRAN complemented by DAS and Small Cells will be synthesized into common physical plant, sliced & virtualized, and served by the Ethernet based  Elastic RAN (ERAN) that will enable 5GNR Advanced services to any size of radio cluster.  One key attribute for the ERAN will be the tight synchronisation services required.  We will examine and compare the different options for engineering timing services into this evolving paradigm."

Join us at Kings Place, London on Thursday 3rd October 08:30 - 16:30 for our latest PhaseReady Event: The 5G Field of Dreams -  where we plan to address these issues and more, and the role timing will have in delivering the networks of the future.
