IGM and IGM Plus for External GNSS Antenna: 1100x Release 3.0

IGM 1100x

Product Information

IEEE 1588 Small Edge Grandmaster

Microchip’s best in class sync solution IEEE 1588 compact IGM grandmaster (IGM 1100x) with integrated GNSS receiver and external antenna is designed to deliver precise time in scenarios where there is an existing GNSS antenna, or where it would be cost-effective to deploy, such as small, one-story buildings, racks, huts, or cabinets.

The small form factor IGM 1100x, with plug-and-play features which reduce deployment costs, provides a cost-effective alternative to existing 1588 grandmasters that typically present space, power, and cost constraints.

Ideal for Mobile Edge Deployments

Microchip offers a unified software across the IGM grandmaster portfolio facilitating densification for mobile operators through enhanced management options, more reliability through GPS backup, greater scalability with IPv6, and increased client support. IGM is ideal for mobile edge deployments for LTE-A, 5G, and DOCSIS3.1 cable environment

New Hardware Model: IGM Plus for Release 3.0

The most recent release 3.0 features a new hardware model with an upgraded GNSS receiver adding Galileo and QZSS support and an upgraded mini OCXO oscillator for enhanced time keeping and holdover performance.

New Software capabilities for Release 3

  • Increased scalability for up to 60 PTP clients
  • Support for IPv6 OAM/Management, in addition to IPv6 support for PTP traffic
